You have a project in mind but don't know how to go about
having it tendered? Initi8 can help.
Our experienced Solution Architects can write your Request
For Proposal (RFP), Request For Quote (RFQ), and Request
For Information (RFI). More importantly we can help you
manage the quoting, evaluation and selection process to
ensure you select the right vendor for your business and
project needs.
What are these documents, and why are they important?
Request For Information (RFI)
A Request For Information is a very simple and preliminary
document used to identify which vendors you would like in
your tendering process. In other words it's a comprehensive
means of selecting the right set of vendors to quote on
your project.
Request for Propsal (RFP)
A Request For Proposal is a document which in very high
level terms outlines the requirements for your project /
application and directs vendors to submit a proposal outlining
in detail how the application could be developed, which
technologies they would use, and how much it would cost.
The RFP clearly outlines how the vendors should format their
responses so that all submissions can be evaluated easily
and equally.
Request For Quote (RFQ)
The Request For Quote is similar to an RFP but it does not
require the vendor to submit a detailed proposal. Rather
it directs the vendor to submit an overview of how they
would approach developing y our application, the technologies
they would use, and of course an cost for the work.
An RFQ assumes you've got a solid requirements document
produced such that this level of thinking is not to be done
by the vendor.
Depending your particular needs, Initi8 can help you identify
which sets of documents you need produced and create them
for you. If necessary we can even assist you through the
submission, evaluation and selection process.
